It’s a much better effort than their Chardonnay, which should be avoided at all costs. But this one is a nicely drinkable wine, and maybe even good for dinner too. An even better buy if you can get it on sale (like I did). This wine has a clear, bright medium garnet-violet color with a light structure to this wine. There are some definite berry notes, (blackberry) which follow through to your taste buds. There’s a lot to like about this wine, the taste is there but not overly aggressive, as is a moderate astringency and tannins. There’s good balance with this wine and a clean medium finish. Overall, it’s a nicely balanced wine. Don’t serve it too cold and let it breath a little before serving (15 minutes). Grade: B Price: $9 |
