King Estate 2005 Pinot Noir Oregon

It’s a so-so wine. Not terrible but it needs a little more oomph to take it to the next level (grade).

It’s got a ruby-violet color but with not a lot of structure. It’s got some faint berry notes that come through to your palette but leaves you wanting a little more. There are not a lot of tannins, a relatively balanced and a finish but this wine needs a little extra something. At best, this may be the second bottle of Pinot Noir you will open for your guests.

This is a great wine

This wine is amazing, though I had it probably a while later than this guy so it had more time to age in the bottle. I thought it was great especially at such a reasonable price. I also went to the winery recently - wowee! Check out pictures of the estate on their website http://www.kingestate.com they also use organic grapes so that's a major plus.

Pinot Noirs

I agree that this 2005 Kings Estate is a so-so Pinot. THere isn't much complexity to it. Lots of tannins.

Keep trying!

This is one of the most

This is one of the most palletable pinots I've had in sometime. It has a friendly start and a mild finish
with the black cherry and thyme undertones.
I would highly recommend it
