Definitely not the sherry you might be expecting, as it's a very, very, dry one. That might put a few people off. It's a clear, bright medium depth mahogany colored wine with some legs to it. There's a definate dried fruit aroma to the sherry, with perhaps a bit of nut undernote to it as well. For your taste buds, well, the first thing you'll notice is how very, very dry this wine is. So dry in fact that it is it's major characteristic. It's difficult to get past the dryness to discover anything else. It might work best as a pre-dinner wine with some very good, strong cheese and strong tasting o'deruves. Alfonso, NV Grade: C Winery: Gonzalez Byass, S.A.
