Alice White 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Australia

For the price, a rather smooth Cab, if a week tasting one.

This wine is a medium purple/violet color with light berry notes for your nose (Cherry? what Cherry?) and some heavier notes for your taste buds. It has a rather nice dryness that lingers a bit (a plus.) There also isn't a lot of harshness in this wine that you might taste in Cabs in this price range. The balance is OK as is the finish, helped by that lingering dryness. It's a relatively sippable wine and a reasonable dinner wine. Overall, for the price, an echo of a good Cab, but pretty good echo....
