Au 2004 Shiraz Australia

Honestly, in spite of the liner notes for this album (bottle blurb), I remain unimpressed. Perhaps it's my taste buds. Drinkable, but I've had better.....

While it's a nice medium to dark purple colored wine, with some mild berry notes for your nose and a little less for your palate, there wasn't much of a wow factor. There are some moderate tannins, along with some dryness and acidity making this wine a better dinner wine perhaps than sipping. But there wasn't much else to grab you.....

Bottle Blurb:
It is said that when the world was young, all the natural elements came together to create Australia. And from this continent, wealthy with natural resources, comes a wine that can only be described as pure gold. Au Shiraz draws upon the innate attributes of the Barossa Valley, one of Australia's most celebrated Shiraz regions. And like an experienced host, this smooth Shiraz makes a bold introduction and finishes with finesse. the intense black current aromas fill the palate with dark berry and licorice, ending with fine oak tannins.
