Beringer Founder's Estate 2007 Sauvignon Blanc California

Let's face facts: Sauvignon Blanc's are not my favorite wines to begin with. And this one seems less so than usual. It might be good on a hot day, as your second bottle.

It's a pale yellow colored wine. Mildly acidic, with so-so balance and finish, and surprisingly uncitrusy. Most Sauv Blanc's can at least get that part right. As a result it's not really a sipping or dinner wine. A friend suggested it might be good to deglaze a pan of something. Perhaps he's onto something....
