Cline 2007 Syrah California

Tasty, but it lacks the flavor intensity to take it to the next level. I'm a bigger fan of their Zinfandel. You might try that instead.

A clear, bright, light to medium depth violet wine without a lot of structure to it. There are some faint berry and spicy/peppery notes for your nose and some better ones for your palette. Not especially acidic and not very dry either, but with well modulated tannins, and an OK balance (if a bit weak) and finish. Not a dinner wine, and just barely a sipping one and perhaps the kind of wine to drink in one sitting as the second day's tasting seemed worse than the first. There is some sediment to this wine. Plan accordingly.
