Copa del Rey 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Chile

Their blurb says this wine is: "the Cup of the King." I'm thinking the King of ID, here. It otherwise comes across as drinkable, but just.

It's a clear, bright violet-purple color of medium depth and light structure. There are what appear to be blackberry notes for your palette and nose but faint, with muted, thin tannins (that give a bit of harshness at the end), and a moderate to light astringency. This give a short finish with so-so balance. Better for dinner than sipping I fear. Try one of the suggestions below....
