This is a young, clear, straw yellow wine, but with little depth (pale might best describe it). Its structure seems poor and its viscosity seems almost non-existent. It seems to have some faint floral and fruit notes but can’t really hazard to guess which ones. (apple?) Its taste is better but still pretty bland. It has some mild sweetness but healthy dose of acidity which doesn’t help the balance for this wine or the finish. The finish itself is pretty short. It’s not that it’s bad, but it doesn’t have any standout characteristics either. You might want to use it to deglaze a pan for a sauce. Grade: D+ Price: $7 Frontera |
