Hayes Ranch 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon California

Saddle up and ride this one into the sunset! OK, the label sucked me in a little. Still, a not too dry competent Cab at a reasonable price!

It's a clear, bright, medium depth wine with a nice ruby-violet color. There are some faint berry-cherry notes for your nose with these notes being even better your palette. It's a wine that's not especially acidic nor astringent, but with an OK finish and an nice balance. A wine much more at home for sipping than dinner. And for the price, that's a good thing. A good everyday wine.
