Perhaps the "worst" of the Ironstone lot I've tried, which is to say not too awful. A wine slightly better suited for a light dinner perhaps than sipping. For the price, it's hard to beat the taste. It's a clear, bright, medium pale ruby colored wine. There are berry notes to be sure for your nose (strawberry, perhaps), and a bit less so for your palate. There is a light structure to the wine as well. It's not a particularly dry wine, but there's enough of a light dryness to let the wine linger in your mouth, if just a bit. There is an OK balance and medium finish (thanks to that dryness.) A wine just slightly better suited for dinner than sipping.... NOTE: although I used aeration with some glasses of this wine, it really seemed better the 2nd day, w/o aeration. And serve somewhat chilly. A better choice might be:
