Leaping Horse 2008 Shiraz

It’s another in a series of “grocery store” wines, in this case 2 wines for $10. It’s better than their Merlot it seems.

It’s a clear, bright medium depth rub/violet colored wine with a light structure to it. There are some berry notes (blackberry and raspberry) with maybe plum as a sub note. There is some light astringency, muted tannins with an OK balance and medium(?) finish. It really comes across as a relatively good sipping wine, if with just a little harshness at the end of your sip
