In a word, spectacularly bland. Not since my Pacific Rim experience have I tasted dreck like this. Imbibe at your own peril, and that of the people you serve this to. Frankly, try something else from Spain. Their reds are much better than this stuff. It's a clear, bright straw-yellow wine with light to pale depth. The marketing guys call this wine "young and fresh with tropical nuances on the nose and vibrant acidity." While the tropical part might be there, it seems to be muted to the point of being nonexistent. Taste wise, it just seems to come up lacking. Sipping on a hot summer day is out of the question and there's just not enough acidity to handle dinner requirements. Try elsewhere. Los Pinos Macabeo |
