Manyana 2008 Tempranillo Spain

It’ doesn’t come across as your typical Tempranillo, so you may not be shouting “Manyana” from the rooftops.

It’s a clear, bright, purple-violet colored wine with little structure to it. It comes across as smooth one overall, without the harsh ending you might see in other Temps (well modulated tannins, light astringency which will give you some dryness and some light berry notes too.) There’s an OK balance and short finish. Better for sipping than dinner I would wager.

Sometimes the world seems to be in a hectic rush to chase its own tale. In the sunny Mediterranean however, the people of Spain still take the time to relax, with a glass of wine, putting off to the morrow everything that doesn’t absolutely have to be done today. A wine like Manyana, that owes its seductively juicy red-fruit flavor to the Tempranillo grape. Put your feet up, take a lazy sip and enjoy the moment.
