A somewhat bland wine at best. Surely, a better wine to serve as the 2nd or 3rd bottle, not the first. In a word, blah! A better choice for the same price might be the Harthill Chardonnay (also from Whole Foods). It's a clear, bright pale straw colored wine with little structure to it. There are limited notes for your nose and palette with this one. I can best describe it as unoffensive. There's not a lot of tannins, (as it is a chard) not really any oakiness, and a rather bland taste overall. Not really any good for sipping or dinner as the taste won't work for sipping and the acidity won't cut it for dinner. It's the house special at Whole Foods. Frankly some of the other varietals from these guys are better. Paul Valmer (Everyday 360) |
