A really rhubarby wine. I mean really, you can taste the rhubarb! Not you typical white, to be sure! It's a clear, bright straw-yellow wine with medium depth to it, with not a lot of structure to it. It's a sugary wine, but not cloying so, that with the rhubarb taste, gives this wine a different slant on a white wine to be sure. There is a slight aftertaste (mineral?) which might detract from the overall effect. But there is a nice balance and an OK finish. Let's face it, it's a little hard to pigeonhole. More of an after dinner or before dinner wine, not something you'd serve with dinner. Point of View |
