Salento Privitivo 2007 Red Wine Italy

A rather tasty red and surprisingly, the blurb tries to describe the taste.

It's a deep purple/violet wine with some structure to it. There are some fantastic (read intense) berry notes for both nose and taste buds with this wine. Along with a nicely astringent dryness that lingers a bit. A decent sipping wine, with good balance and finish. Aeration didn't seem to be required, a plus.

Bottle Blurb:
This barrique(barrel)-aged 100% Primitivo wine from Salento/Apulia features impressive depth of color and gratifying flavor concentration. Ripe aromas of blackberry fruit, Asian spice and creamy French Oak carry through the palate to a smooth, long-lasting finish. [at last, a blurb that actually makes sense AND describes the wine.]
