Second Chance 2005 Chardonnay California

Too soon, I've had another Chardonnay that came across as bland at best. Again it's drinkable, but you might not be willing to tell anyone about it the next day.

It's a light yellow colored wine with no real structure to it. There's some like oak for your taste buds, but not much else. And especially not much for your nose. There is also a moderate dryness and acidity. There is a so-so balance and finish. Overall, it's really rather tasteless and bland.

Here I am, new city, new job, long after everyone is in bed and only the street lights and the heavy mist hanging in the air are my friends. Why didn't it work out? What drove a wedge between us? Exciting, challenging, sensual, complex, all the components necessary to forge a great relationship. Like a fool, I walked away. Now with a similar opportunity, wondering whether there is such a thing as a Second Chance.
