Overall, not a bad wine for dinner and ok for sipping. So it's from Australia, don't let that stop you. It's a clear, bright, violet colored wine with a deep kind of depth to it. There's a bit of structure to the wine, that has some bright berry notes to it with perhaps some spicy under tones. It's well modulated as far as tannins are concerned (perhaps thanks to aeration beforehand) with good balence and finish. It's astringency (something approaching a shade too much pucker) might make this better for dinner than sipping. Still overall, a pretty good wine for the price. Shoo Fly |
