It’s got a nice straw yellow color – if a bit on the thin side -- and has some oak but it’s not overpowering. There’s some residual sweetness on the tongue, but it’s tough to put a finger on any major tastes. There’s no off taste I can detect and the closest I seem to detect is a fruit taste (tropical fruit, perhaps?) for the most part. It seems to have short to mid finish with some nice astringency. And not a harsh finish either. It would be nice for sipping and probably good with a lot of food, too. Something to sink my “teeth” into taste wise would have led to a higher rating.
