Thistle Dew NV Cabernet - Petit Verdot Australia

A tastier wine the longer it was opened. Aeration a is a must. And a wine better the 2nd day than the first. Few wines can say that. I picked this wine up on sale at World Market....

A clear, bright purple-violet colored wine with no real structure to it. Some moderate cherry notes (black? well sure, why not) with some well modulated tannins. Fainter berry notes for your nose. The tannins seemed to get ever more tasty over time. There's some moderate acidity and acidity with perhaps a slight mineral finish. This wine has a good balance and medium finish. A better sipping than dinner wine.

Similar to the Thistle plant found throughout the Australian countryside, this wine expresses characteristics of heartiness with Cabernet Sauvignon and the beauty with Petit Verdot. This full bodied wine has majestic flavors and aromas of black cherries and raspberries with hints of chocolate mocha which finish silky smooth on the palate.[Really?]
