Thistle Dew NV Chardonnay - Verdelho Australia

For the price, a tasty and likable Chardonnay. Not the best you've ever had, but certainly not the worst! And a wine I found at World Market, cheap!

It's a wine with a light to medium yellow color with no real structure to it. There's a definite butter not to this wine signifying at least some time in some oak. There are definite fruity notes (apple/pear/not sure I ever got melon/and which melon they never specified). There's a light acidity, moderate dryness, a bit mineral taste as well. There's an OK balance and a moderate finish. More suitable for sipping than dinner.

Similar to the Thistle plant found throughout the Australian countryside, this wine expresses characteristics of heartiness with Chardonnay and the beauty with Verdelho. This wine presents bright aromas of of melon, orange, and cherry blossoms with a delicate hint of Vanilla leading to savory fruit flavors that balance perfectly on the palate.
