Just in time for All Hallows Eve, (aka Halloween). There are several varieties under this label, the cab being one of them. I’m feeling I’ve should have chosen one of the others. NOTE: uses a plastic cork, if that makes a difference to you. It has a clear, bright, medium depth purple with at least some structure to the wine. Your nose will detect an abundance of berry notes, (blackberry mostly) with not a lot of room to detect much else. There are no real off notes here, but there is some tannins that kick you in the palette in the end along with an aftertaste that drops this wine down a notch or two, at least for me. The balance is good, acidity moderate and the finish medium. Better results might be obtained if you let it breath for 20 minutes before imbibing. Grade: C- Price: $8 Wine Reviewed: |
