Vina Borgia 2008 Granache Spain

It's an every day red kinda wine, (in Sarah Palin speak). Good perhaps as the 2nd bottle that night. A possible first wine, the Tres Picos Granache (2008). A trifle expensive, but it will set your taste buds up for this bottle.

A clear, bright, violet colored wine with medium depth and there is some structure to this wine. Beyond the berry notes your nose and palette will detect is a peppery or spicy under note. It's moderately dry, not particularly acidic with some well modulated tannins. It falls a little flat in the taste department overall but has good balance and a medium finish. Better as a dinner wine.
