Red Wines

Lucky Duck NV Malbec Argentina

Plum Kool-Aid.

With a shot of cheap vodka.

Vino Borgia 2008 Grenache Spain

It tastes good. I can see whiling away an afternoon and a bottle at the same time or just having a glass with a hearty lunch. And I believe Jorge Ordonez is becoming my personal hero, as he selects some of the best cheap wines I know...

Tres Picos 2008 Granache Spain

It's a pretty tasty wine, if a bit pricey. But as I didn't pay for the bottle, it made my enjoyment all the sweeter.

Abrazo 2005 Garnacha Spain

Use for a night of carousing. Your entourage will drink whatever you get them, and that bar wench you've been fancying will quaff without complaint. It's good, but nothing special.

Georges Dubceuf 2007 Beaujolais Nouveau France

To misquote Clara Peller (from those “Where’s the beef” commercials, “Where’s the wine?” I had always heard about people eagerly waiting the fall Beaujolais Nouveau. After drinking this one I’m not sure why. If you aren’t a devotee of something like this, perhaps you can spend your money elsewhere.
