It’s a likable wine, if a little short in the flavor department. Good by itself, or with a lunch that’s not going to overpower it. As sparkling wines go, it’s a clear, bright but very pale straw-yellow color wine. As it’s a sparkling wine, it has nice tiny bubbles but produces them in a somewhat low to moderate rate. Your nose will detect some tree fruit, but not a specific tree fruit. For a brut sparkling wine, it has more sweetness than most, and not as dry as most either. There’s some good balance here, low acidity with a clean but short finish. Grade: B- Price: $12 Zardetto Procecco Brut |
